Explore the Outdoors: The North River Wildlife Sanctuary in Marshfield

Spring is the perfect time to get outside! The North River Wildlife Sanctuary is a great place to explore nature and see different kinds of plants and animals. You can find all the trail info on the Mass Audubon website.

Overview trails:

• River Loop Trail: This trail circles a sunny field where you might see bluebirds and hawks flying above! There are also two little side paths, one over a boardwalk and one to a river-watching spot.

• Woodland Loop Trail: Walk through a forest with big oak trees where you might hear woodpeckers and turkeys! A short path leads to a brook, but watch out for roots and rocks!

• Hannah Eames Trail: Cross over a brook and look for water bugs, then walk through a ferny area and past an old stone wall! You might see deer or a hawk's nest.

• Fern Loop Sensory Trail: This trail is super easy and good for everyone, with a wooden walkway through a cool, shady forest! You'll see lots of ferns and hear birds singing!
