South Shore Spotlight: Coffee Expansion, Revolutionary Weekend & Spring Buzz
Braintree is getting a caffeine boost as Cape Cod Coffee expands off-Cape with its first South Shore location, bringing its small-batch roasts and 40+ blends to town. In Carver, health officials are warning residents after rabies cases in local wildlife, and while no people were exposed, our inbox briefly encountered a separate case of “rabies-adjacent behavior” from an especially passionate reader. We always appreciate feedback that helps us improve, even when it arrives with a little extra bite. Hingham is preparing for Revolutionary Weekend on May 16–17 with reenactments, tours, and family-friendly celebrations honoring the town’s colonial roots. Plymouth’s historic Old Sandwich Road remains a rare living link to nearly 400 years of South Shore history and preservation. Meanwhile, the James Library & Center for the Arts in Norwell headlines a packed regional lineup of exhibits, workshops, concerts, outdoor programs, and community events happening across the South Shore.
