This Week on the South Shore
Headlines
South Shore/Massachusetts: Free ice cream for a year? Ben & Jerry's is giving Massachusetts residents a sweet shot. No purchase needed, just enter before May 5. Even better, winners can mix and match flavors all year long, making it a dream come true for ice cream lovers. - Live95.9
Braintree: A family of coyotes has set up a den at Patty Whitehouse Scenic Overlook, prompting police to warn residents to keep their distance during pup season. Officials say while attacks are rare, protective behavior is likely, so avoid the area, especially at dawn and dusk, and keep pets leashed. - MSN
Milton: Perched atop Blue Hill Observatory and Science Center, one of the nation’s oldest weather stations is still tracking climate data the old-fashioned way, by hand, just as it has since 1885. That uninterrupted record is now offering a rare, real-time window into climate change while helping connect the public to the science behind it. - Chicago Tribune
Pembroke/Plymouth/Weymouth: Party City is making a comeback in Massachusetts! This time inside Staples stores, where shoppers can now grab balloons, decorations, and custom party prints all in one stop. With more than 40 locations across the state (including several on the South Shore), the return brings a convenient new way to plan celebrations without a separate trip. - AOL
